Women seriously need to stop playing the victim.
At some point you need to start taking responsibility for your own behaviour and expectations that are driving your mans behaviour.
But let’s take out the male/ female/ black/ white divide for the sake of this post.
Stop expecting people to fight your battles. In this case, the battle was Jada’s insecurity – having alopecia resulting in shaving her entire head bald; something she claimed she loved.
Now if she truly loved her bald head, her reaction to a joke would not have resulted in the need for her husband to slap Chris Rock in the face for the entire world to see.
There is no way in hell, heaven, earth, pluto or anywhere in this universe that justified the need for Will Smith to slap Chris Rock in the face for the world to see.
Ladies, work on your insecurities… and your ability to take a joke.
If you don’t want someone making fun of your shaved head, wear a wig. But to play the victim because you’re a “woman” or because you’re “black woman” is ludacris. You have a net worth of $50Million. What exactly are you a victim of?
Alopecia isn’t a life-threatening medical condition. As a matter of fact, men suffer from hair loss too. Yet they are ridiculed when they get any form of cosmetic treatment for their hairline etc.
I’m sick of women playing the victim. Especially the women who think it’s acceptable for Will Smith to have “defended his wife’s honour” (let’s face it, Jada doesn’t have any honour), and some females would go as far as wanting their partners/ husbands to do the same. To the people in support of what Will did – I don’t know what you think is right or wrong but you don’t congratulate someone for creating harm towards someone else. Period.
This man has worked so hard to create what he has created for himself, all for the entire world to turn against him because his wife couldn’t handle a joke.
Now let’s not just blame Jada. At the end of the day, Will should’ve had enough self-awareness and self-control to handle things differently. His actions were going to have consequences regardless of what his intentions were.
If you’re hurting, say you’re hurting. If you’re angry, say you’re angry. Learn when to show your emotion through actions and when not to, because this is why we fail to recognise each other’s pain, and there will always be someone ready to tell you how wrong you are.
We need to start viewing situations from a higher perspective and stop congratulating such messed up behaviour. It sucks that you were offended Jada, you should take some time off grilling the world on RTT and work on yourself and count your blessings that a man of Will Smith’s calibre even wants anything to do with a woman like you.
You better learn to laugh it off – especially when you know it’s just a joke; because if you expect your man to fight everyone that offends your feelings, I hope you’re ready to deal with the fact that he could be facing charges; even prison or death because of you.
And after she decided to pursue a sexual relationship with August Alsina while trying to “help him” through his mental health issues; choosing to discuss and publicly humiliate her husband in front of the world, she’s lucky a joke about her shaved head is all she had to deal with.
This post isn’t because I actually care about celebrities. But there are a lot of Jada’s out there – so fellas, stay woke… before you find yourselves on the brink of losing what you’ve worked hard for, for a woman who has front-row seats to watch it all fall apart.
The victims in this scenario are Will Smith & Chris Rock. Not Jada.
