Individuals have adhered to societal structures; as a result, our inherent nature and gifts have been abandoned.
Society has taught us to abandon ourselves.
For many of us, we question what we feel is true because society has taught us that it’s “wrong” or “not the way”.
Why do we deny our own reality?
Because no one else is in it with us; because no one else is confirming it.
We chase money and material possessions or a specific partner, weight etc. We have been conditioned to believe these things will make us enough.
Due to our inner world never being validated, we don’t know if our own internal guidance is enough. When we go deeper into what we are feeling, it comes with contrast in the outer world.
For example – you may feel as though other people don’t validate what feels right to you.
What this is showing you is that external opinions are never going to line up with your inner experience/ inner calling.
You need to align with your inner voice and inner experience, instead of giving power to society’s false God’s.
False God’s include:
– Money
– Beauty
– Success levels in society
– Other people’s opinions
– Even parents
For example, society may tell you your body needs to look a certain way in order to be beautiful. But if you feel beautiful regardless, even if you’re not meeting society’s “set point” of a beautiful body – then you know it is a false God.
Or, you need to be making a specific amount of money. Your “inner” standard may tell you you’re fulfilled at an income that is a lot less, yet you feel as though you need to keep “grinding” away in order to meet “society’s standard”.
Where a lot of us struggle is that we are conditioned out of thinking that. We’re conditioned to thinking we must be “wrong”.
Your inner critic is then at odds with your “naturalness”. Everything is an opportunity to go deeper and develop self-awareness; and by doing so, you unlearn these conditioning patterns. This is how you begin to liberate yourself.
