I was sharing this with a client of mine – and I believe it’s something that is more common than not, so if it resonates with you – I hope it gives you a little something to think about too.
I’ve always been viewed as someone who’s a little eccentric. By friends, teachers, colleagues, romantic partners and even family.
We all have a purpose in this life. If you’re reading this and you think you don’t, then you’re not paying enough attention to yourself; or you’re paying too much attention to your ego’s desires. Now I’m all for self-confidence, but you could be the most confident person in the world but if you’re not contributing to the greater good of something/ someone outside of yourself, then not only are you robbing this world of your gifts but you’re doing yourself a disservice through a lack of fulfillment.
I think it’s important to share – because for many of us, we all have gifts and talents within us that we don’t share because of how we think it’ll be perceived by others.
My purpose, I believe – is bringing forth compassion, empathy and understanding to people and situations.
Growing up, I paid a lot of attention to details that go beyond the physical. I look at people beyond the physical, and I have always formulated my feelings toward something/ someone based off my intuition/ instincts. This has been my greatest gift.
It’s not that I’m adverse to the opinions or validation of other people, I just never really cared too much for it. My own vision has never failed me. People will think what they want and that’s their business.
An important lesson I learned along my spiritual journey – no one really knew anything.
When you realise how little you know, then your attentiveness to detail increases (your intuition).
The information is all there. Some people can see and others won’t.
Some people will refuse to acknowledge what they feel because of something they heard/ saw/ experienced in the past.
These are the people who are focused on past retention rather than current attention. By doing this, you’re betting against yourself.
Being a leader means you’re able to see something others are not able to see. Although I’ve found what I believe I’m here on this earth to do, I believe it’s only a part of my “purpose” to remind you – who’s reading this – that you’re here for more too. There’s something this world needs that you’ve got within you.
Pay attention.
