Our “Inner Truth”

50 Unusual Travel Words with Interesting Meanings – I am Aileen

I spent some time earlier doing some personality tests (just for fun) – then I began to journal on the results. I then realised the extensive psychological concepts, spiritual content and various other explanations (e.g. astrology) that I juxtaposed into a course I’m creating.

I began thinking (overthinking, really) over my business name – Inner Truth Gym.

I created the Inner Truth Gym as a way to discover who we really are – our inner/ internal self.

But what is the “inner” self? I mean, it’s easy to go into a car, a house or a building – things outside of us.

But how do we go within to who we truly are?

Pondering upon that question, as well as the results from those personality tests – I realised that we – people/ society – have too many ideas about things we don’t truly know or understand.

I have always been one to trust my intuition and encourage everyone else to do the same. I believe the answers have always been within us. So basically… I used my intuition to help me out as I was trying to figure out how one “finds” their truth.

Then it clicked.

Awareness.
Perception.

We all get so caught up trying to reach a conclusion, that we forget we need to pay attention to how we’re thinking, feeling or relating to something/ someone.

When we pay attention to ourselves and how we feel, everything becomes clear.

I then realised – I can do a million personality tests – but it doesn’t matter. It gets me no closer to any reality or “truth”. All of that is within my experience with/ of it.

As for the million other concepts and beliefs explaining a specific event/ phenomena – it’s just a waste of words and explanation.

You know the “truth” by how it feels – and that doesn’t need any explaining – we’ve just been conditioned to think it does.

Because at the end of the day… language is man-made. Before language was created to communicate, all there was, was energy.

A little deep, but something to think about.

Not every thing needs an explanation. I now realise this is what all spiritual teachings are referring to when they emphasise being in the present moment. Just be with it.

Of course we’re all human and it’s easier said than done, but I hope this help you give life a different perspective, especially if you’re focusing on inner healing and transformation.
